Lakeview Students Successful with New Program

CHARLESTON , IL (01/18/2014)(readMedia)-- Lakeview College of Nursing recently received word that every student enrolled in Lakeview's summer Basic Nurse Assistant (BNA) program has passed the state's competency test.

Students who contributed to this 100 percent pass rate include the following:

Trisha Harkins of Assumption, IL

Michaela Cline and Cindy Layton, both of Charleston, IL

Justin Edgecombe of Decatur, IL

Jessica Fuller and Melissa Sanders, both of Mattoon, IL

Amber Slaymaker of Kansas, IL

These Certified Nurse Assistants were taught by Rita Wallace, MSN, RN, of Marshall, IL.

Wallace plans to teach this course again for Lakeview during the summer of 2014. Classes will be held Monday through Thursday evenings from 4 - 8:30 pm from June 2 through Aug. 2, 2014. Clinical experiences will be required on the following Saturdays: June 21 & 28 and July 12, 19 & 26.
