Lakeview Students Support Toys for Tots

DANVILLE , IL (10/18/2012)(readMedia)-- A group of students from Lakeview College of Nursing will be holding a fundraiser dinner on Wed., Oct. 24, at Buffalo Wild Wings located at 907 West Marketview Dr., Champaign, Il. The fundraiser will be held in the restaurant from open of business to close; 11 am on Oct. 24 to 2 am on Oct. 25. The public is invited to attend.

When presenting Buffalo Wild Wings with the flier Lakeview will receive 10% of the total bill. All proceeds will be donated to the Toys for Tots Foundation.

Kourtney Steinkamp of Champaign, Il, Cassie Butcher of Mahomet, Il, Beth Unander of Champaign, and Haley Tappendorf of Champaign, have decided to pursue this effort with Toys for Tots Foundation because of the importance of toys in the development of children. The group researched and found that there is a great need for this foundation in the Danville area. Additionally, they wanted to help put smiles on the faces of children during the holiday season.

Lakeview College of Nursing has provided excellence in nursing education since 1894. Lakeview currently offers a bachelor of science in nursing degree program in Danville as well as Charleston, Illinois.
