ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (01/11/2013)(readMedia)-- The "Weaver Suite," a collection of 58 prints and related source drawings by Lancaster County artist Jeff Geib, is on exhibit Friday, Jan. 25, through Thursday, March 28, in the Hess Gallery, at Elizabethtown College. The drypoint prints--a form of etching--show the artist's "methodical exposition of ... seeing and making."

The free exhibit, including an artist's reception at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, offers an opportunity to share in serial visual investigation, the focus of Geib's work.

The suite of work--portraits and artist self portraits--was commissioned by the father of a friend of the artist.

Geib has lived, was educated and has worked almost entirely in Lancaster County. He learned printmaking at Millersville University. His art is mostly on paper, with focus on drawing and printmaking. Formerly a college art instructor, Geib now teaches independently.

"Weaver Suite" continues from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
