BROWNWOOD, TX (05/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Howard Payne University sophomore Larissa Lynskey has been named to the 2012-13 American Southwest Conference Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team for women's tennis, the league office announced on Wednesday.
The honor, in its sixth academic year, recognizes student-athletes that achieve a higher level of academic achievement (a 3.20 grade-point average or better) while competing as a starter or important reserve on their team.
WOMEN'S TENNIS - Larissa Lynskey
A sophomore from Anton, Texas, Larissa Lynskey played number four singles and number two doubles, Larissa was 3-6 in single play and 3-6 in doubles action. The Biology major carries a 3.78 GPA.
Overall, 106 student-athletes from basketball, baseball, golf, softball, tennis and track and field were named to the Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Teams.
