ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

Nazareth College Arts Center will celebrate Valentine's Day with a special performance by a company from one of the most famous entertainment meccas in the world. Las Vegas's first professional, non-profit, contemporary dance company, Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater (LVCDT) is best known for its extensive repertoire of neo-classical and modern ballets, its modern and highly athletic approach to movement, its unique showmanship, and its diverse styles.

LVCDT's versatile company members have danced for Cirque Du Soleil in Vegas as well as on So You Think You Can Dance, America's Got Talent, and Dancing with the Stars.

Founded by Bernard H. Gaddis and Charmaine Hunter in 2007, LVCDT is known for its sheer passion, energy, drive, and commitment to making the audience experience a range of emotions through the language of dance.

According to the company's press materials: "Our audiences leave the theater feeling a sense of excitement, joy, and the awareness of dance and its perplexities with an enlightened view of the art of dance and the dancer. Our repertoire is unlike any other dance company and is totally unique to LVCDT. Not only do we have a tailor-made repertoire for the company, we have unique individual artists, who bring life and color to movement."

Gaddis, who is known internationally as both a gifted performer and innovative choreographer, continues with the company; along with Associate Director Emeritus, Kevin Gibbs, and newly appointed Associate Director, Marie-Joe Tabet.
