Laura Mraz of Pennington, NJ Becomes National Finalist at Phi Beta Lambda Business Competition

PHILADELPHIA, PA (08/02/2010)(readMedia)-- Laura Mraz, a resident of Pennington, NJ, received 9th place in the sales presentation competition at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference held from July 9-12 in Nashville, Tennessee. Three teams of Chestnut Hill College students became national finalists as they participated in the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference, competing against more than 2,000 students from 40 states to earn the honor.

This is the first year that Chestnut Hill College students placed in the Sales Presentation competition, the second year in Web Site Development, and the third consecutive year to place in the Business Ethics category. "Our students are justly proud of their performance at the National Leadership Conference," says Robert Durney, M.B.A, club advisor and associate professor of business at the College. "Chestnut Hill College has set the standard for smaller colleges over the past four years. I am especially gratified that we regained national finalist stature in Business Ethics."

Students who received first and second place awards at the Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference in Harrisburg were eligible to compete at the national conference. Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate chapter of Future Business Leaders of America, is the largest student business leadership organization in the country.
