EVANSVILLE, IN (12/03/2013)(readMedia)-- Lauren Wirth, a University of Evansville freshman from Columbus, Indiana, has been named one of four winners of the national "Share That U Care" sweepstakes, sponsored by campus dining services provider Sodexo. Wirth won a $2,500 donation to the charity of her choice and a $250 Visa gift card.

Wirth, a Columbus East High School graduate who is majoring in management at UE, selected the Riley Children's Foundation in Indianapolis to receive the donation in her name. Riley Hospital for Children is a member of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, the national philanthropy supported by Wirth's sorority, Phi Mu.

Wirth presented a check to the Riley Children's Foundation today in the Ridgway University Center.

"I'm honored to win the contest and have the opportunity to donate to Riley," Wirth said during the presentation. "It's a great cause, and they don't turn anyone away because of financial issues."

Wirth was selected through a random drawing of college students who entered the contest online at ShareThatUCare.com. The sweepstakes was part of Sodexo's online campaign to promote awareness, social responsibility, and compassion among students.
