ST. LOUIS, MO (11/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Missouri Baptist University recognized men's basketball player LeAndre' Johnson as the Spartan Athlete of the Week after he started the 2012-13 season off strong averaging 19.5 points per game and shooting 77percent from the free throw line.

The 6-0 guard is a senior from Florissant, Mo.., who is majoring in sport management.

MBU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and has received the distinction of being an NAIA Champions of Character institution for the past 10 years. The Spartans compete in the American Midwest Conference.
