The concert will provide an enjoyable afternoon of jazz, featuring original compositions by the faculty and well-known songs by jazz legends such as Chick Corea and Sonny Rollins.

Mixon studied with jazz guitarists Vic Juris, Tony Ventura, Dennis Sandoli, and classical guitarist Joseph Mayes. He is an international teacher and concert artist in Costa Rica and India. He is the founder and director of RPM Music Productions.

Morell has had an extensive professional career composing concert music, playing guitar, and working with many well-known performers in the U.S. and internationally including Dizzy Gillepsie, John Williams, and the Surpremes.

Nowak, LVC percussion instructor since 1988, is a well-known figure in both academia as a winner of the Nevelyn Knisely Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2001, and as a professional percussionist. He currently tours with Al Martino.

Wolfe and Tindall are both professors of music at Lebanon Valley College, who instruct students in private lessons, as well as perform music frequently.

The College's jazz program now includes two jazz ensembles, a jazz theory course, as well as jazz lessons, specifically oriented in jazz music styling.

Lebanon Valley College offers numerous public performances by students, faculty, and guests of the College throughout the semester. For the list of recitals this spring, visit http://www.lvc.edu/music/student-recitals.aspx.
