Lebanon Valley College Guitar Ensemble Performs Tuesday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m.

ANNVILLE, PA (03/26/2013)(readMedia)-- Lebanon Valley College's Guitar Ensemble will perform in Zimmerman Recital Hall of the Suzanne H. Arnold Gallery on Tuesday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature a mix of classical, jazz, blues, and world music in various ensemble settings including quartet, quintet, and electric ensemble performances.
The program includes world music favorites "Fiddlers Playing" by Andrew Forrest, "La Paloma" by S. Salaverri; jazz selections "Boogie Stomp Shuffle" by Charles Mingus, "Cantaloupe Island" by Herbie Hancock, "The Chicken," by Joco Pasterious; blues piece "Riveara Paradise" by Stevie Ray Vaughn; and a pop number titled "Sunny" by Bobby Hebb.
LVC's Guitar Ensemble is open to guitar majors and non-majors by audition and features both acoustical and electric guitars. The ensemble is under the direction of Joseph Mixon, adjunct instructor of music.
