ANNVILLE, PA (07/26/2016)(readMedia)-- Another academic year means another Friday Night Entertainment Series at Lebanon Valley College. For the upcoming fall semester, the Student Programming Board has selected a series of comedians and entertainers that have been recognized nationally. The performances will be held Fridays at 9 p.m. in Leedy Theater of the Allan W. Mund College Center. All shows are free, and the public is invited to join the college community in the audience.

Recently seen on "America's Got Talent," comic Adam Grabowski will kick off the series Aug. 26. Originally from Chicago, Ill., Grabowski has found his way all over the nation, making appearances in at least 45 states and at more than 500 colleges. He specializes in a type of humor designed for a college audience, but is proud of his comedic style, which is observational, interactive, and excludes offensive comments. In 2015, Grabowski was named the National Comic of the Year.

Following Grabowski is young comic Derrick Knopsnyder, who will take the stage Sept. 2. While in college at the California University of Pennsylvania, Knopsnyder decided to perform for the first time. From that moment on, his career has flourished, and he has been honored to perform with well-known comedians such as Bo Burnham and Dave Coulier.

On Friday, Sept. 9, the College will host comedian, magician, and balloon artist John Cassidy. Cassidy is a frequent performer on Disney and Carnival Cruise Lines, and has appeared on television numerous times as a magician, stand-up comedian, and Guinness World Records star. He currently holds the Guinness World Record for most balloon sculptures completed in one hour and most balloon sculptures completed in one minute.

Appearing at the College next will be comedian Glen Tickle, who's trying to break a Guinness World Record himself! Tickle is trying to break the Guinness World Record for highest score on the popular Dr. Mario video game. In addition to stand-up comedy, Tickle is the senior contributing writer to Laughing Squid, an art, culture, and technology blog that began in 2003. He also wrote and directed the feature film, "Several Ways to Die Trying." His performance will take place Friday, Sept. 16.

Standup comedian Regina DeCicco will appear on stage Friday, Sept. 23. After a college internship directed her to "Saturday Night Live," DeCicco was able to realize that she wanted to branch off from the family grocery business that her father and two uncles started. From there, she went on to learn the basics of standup and appeared on television with her debut on

"Gotham Comedy Live." DeCicco now performs all over the world and is hoping to produce an original Broadway musical.

Coming to Leedy Theater Sept. 30 is Boston comedian Steve Macone. In addition to appearing on Comedy Central and performing at the Cutler Majestic Theatre as a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival, Macone creates humorous writings and essays. In 2015, NBC's "Last Comic Standing" ranked Macone as one of the Top 100 comics in the country.

Finally, mentalist and illusionist Wayne Hoffman will help kick off Homecoming Weekend/150th Anniversary Celebration festivities with his performance Oct. 7 in Lutz Hall of the Bertha Brossman Blair Music Center. Early in life, Hoffman found a passion for mystery and magic. After taking time to study human behavior, sociology, and psychology, he has gained knowledge and skills that he uses in his performances today. Hoffman was recently featured on the latest season of "America's Got Talent," along with a number of daily shows and networks including "The Today Show," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," TLC, and National Geographic. He creates a high-energy atmosphere and focuses his performance on the use of body language, human behavior, and visual magic that will "make your head explode."
