Lebanon Valley College will present "Last of the Red Hot Lovers" in February.

ANNVILLE, PA (02/03/2016)(readMedia)-- Lebanon Valley College's Wig and Buckle Theater Company will perform Neil Simon's 1969 play "Last of the Red Hot Lovers." The Tony-nominated play, which debuts Friday, Feb. 12, focuses on Barney Cashman, a married middle-aged man afraid that the sexual revolution of the 1960s is passing him by. In an attempt to catch up, he engages in three affairs with three very different women who have a lot to teach him about love and life. What happens when he tries and fails to keep the flings going is a guaranteed night of laughs in the theater.

"Last of the Red Hot Lovers" is directed by Jarrod Goss '16 and stars Connor Feeney '16, Lacey Eriksen '16, Katrice Kirn '17, and Hannah Brough '18.

"Directing is kind of like acting, except not at all," said Goss. "I've learned there is much more to the theater than diction and rate, so it's definitely given me this new audience perspective.

"I think I picked a near-perfect cast for this production. They've just been pulling out new and exciting moves and inflections that make Simon's fast-talking, New-Yorker style so memorable," added Goss.

The play is the second installment in Wig and Buckle's 2015–16 Diamond Season. The season features shows that focus on love, relationships, marriages, and what happens when they do and don't work. The Diamond Season also celebrates 80 years of Wig and Buckle at Lebanon Valley College, coinciding with the college's 150th anniversary.

Performances are scheduled for Feb. 12, 13, 19, and 20 at 8 p.m., and Feb. 14 and 21 at 2 p.m. All shows are performed in Leedy Theater in the Mund College Center.
