SPRINGFIELD, MA (05/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Leighann Camarero of Derby, CT, received the Student Association Excellence in Media Award during Western New England University's Cocurricular Awards ceremony. Camarero is a senior graduating with a degree in Communication.

The Student Association Excellence in Media Award is given to a student who demonstrated a significant positive impact on the development and improvement of the media on campus and who exemplified professional standards of journalistic and broadcasting excellence.
