Leo London Receives Edward L. '64 and Kathy H. '69 Schoenberger Scholarship

MILLERSVILLE, PA (06/16/2014)(readMedia)-- Leo W. London, Lititz, Pa., has been selected to receive the Edward L. '64 and Kathy H. '69 Schoenberger Scholarship. London will graduate from Warwick High School and will attend Millersville University of Pennsylvania this fall to study computer science.

The Edward L. and Kathy H. Schoenberger Scholarship is an award offered to an incoming freshman who is graduating from a Lancaster County high school and earned a minimum GPA of 2.75. The award was established by Edward Schoenberger, MU Class of 1964 and his wife Kathy, a Millersville graduate of the Class of 1969. The scholarship is in memory of Ed's late mother, Evelyn. The Schoenbergers are retired educators. Edward Schoenberger taught special education in the Conestoga Valley School District and his wife Kathy was also a special educator and an employee of the IU-13. The $2,500 award is renewable for the next three years.

London completed several courses at an honors level as well as Advanced Placement calculus AB. In 12th grade he participated in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and won first place for his personal finance project. He is a member of the National Business Honors Society and won second place for his honors chemistry class science fair project at Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science and third place at the Warwick Science Fair. He works part-time at Moravian Manor, saving his earnings for college.
