Preference is also given to those with a 3.0 grade-point average or higher and classification of junior and senior. The recipient is selected by the Stonecipher School of Business Scholarship Committee or a designee. The scholarship is funded by Lynda K. Simpson, who has a long history with ECU and is thankful for the education she received from the School of Business. Bertha and Myrtle Sturdevant were professors in Business Education. The Bill Walden Scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the Business Administration Department. Walden was a longtime faculty member in the School of Business and this scholarship was established in his honor by family and friends.
