WHY: Physicians for Peace recently began a partnership with the Libyan International Medical University. They met with physicians and facilitated consultations over the Internet between physicians in Libya and their counterparts at Virginia Commonwealth University.

On February 26th at 6:00 p.m., Physicians for Peace Board of Trustees will host a dinner for its trustees, community leaders, and other guests to share its recent experience in Libya and to outline plans for the future. His Excellency was invited to join the dinner event and provide the audience his insights into the health care situation in Libya. He will also speak to a broader audience at the luncheon event on the same day, which is hosted by Physicians for Peace in conjunction with Old Dominion University and the World Affairs Council of Hampton Roads.
