Liz Clancy on Central College homecoming court

PELLA, (10/02/2012)(readMedia)-- Liz Clancy, a native of Waverly and senior at Central College, was a member of Central's homecoming court. Clancy is majoring in exercise science. After graduating, she hopes to find a job where she can help kids with special needs.

Clancy plays on the women's soccer team and is involved in the angling club.

Each year, Central seniors are invited to nominate three men and three women from the senior class to represent Central on the homecoming court. The top five women and men are selected.

This year, the queen candidates also included Cara Soukup, Alyssa Schwartz, Emily Huegel and Morgan Remick. The king candidates were Tyler Mason, Gary Sorich, Ben Fry, Cameron Van Kooten and Jack Flaherty.

Emily Huegel and Jack Flaherty were chosen by the enitre student body as queen and king.

Central College is a private, four-year, residential, liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa. Central's academic program offers 39 majors leading to a bachelor's degree along with pre-professional programs and advising. Central was recognized in the 2012 U.S.News & World Report's annual rankings of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation.
