Local Conference Will Equip Community Leaders to Prepare for the Changing Demographics
The New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA,) is leading a two-day conference titled "Empowering Communities for Successful Aging." Scheduled for November 12-13, the conference will assist civic leaders in addressing the needs of the rapidly increasing aging population, and challenges to local infrastructure, by providing them with access to the best practices and experts in the field.
Over 450 individuals, including state and local officials, civic leaders, not-for-profit service providers, community activists and aging-network professionals will be in attendance.
