Clancy Background

Clancy is a recognized expert in improving performance in large complex environments. He joined IBM in 2005 as a consultant, and over the last eight years has served on a variety of assignments with financial, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and military clients. Clancy spent 2010-12 leading IBM teams in Afghanistan on assignment with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, supporting commanders as they prepared to withdraw US forces and to achieve mission critical priorities related to defeating the risk of improvised explosive devices (IED).

Clancy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Reinhardt. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Systems Dynamics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a published author and speaker on topics related to performance improvement and complex systems. Married in 2005, Timothy and his wife, Alexandrea, are expecting their first daughter in May. They currently split their time between Reno, Nev. and Worcester, Mass.

10 Under 10 Description

The 10 Under 10 Award recognizes alumni who have graduated within the last 10 years and are successful in their professions. Portraits and information about the 10 Under 10 hang in the Hasty Student Life Center on Reinhardt's campus in Waleska, Ga. Each year a new group of 10 under 10 is selected.
