MILTON , MA (03/26/2013)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Sutton, MA resident Samantha Valletta, daughter of Amy and Steve Valletta, has been cast as a Hot Box Girl in Curry College Theatre's Spring Musical, Guys and Dolls. A 2010 graduate of Holy Name, she has entertained audiences at the College in such shows as Bat Boy: The musical, Almost, Maine, Twisted Tales, New Plays 2012, and Woman in Mind. Samantha has been the publicity director for Curry Theatre for the past two years. Formerly a competitive dancer, Ms. Valletta is thrilled be serving as Assistant Choreographer, while taking the role of a Hot Box Girl in this classic musical, Guys and Dolls.

A fast-paced comic tale of Saints and Sinners; Gamblers and Gangsters, Salvation Army Sergeants and Show Girls, for five decades and counting, Guys and Dolls has tumbled its way across American stage, and into the hearts of millions of audience members, who invariably leave the theatre humming its tunes and still chuckling at the antics of its wild and zany characters. It takes the stage on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, April 20 through April 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $5 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).

Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, MA. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,650 continuing education and 500 graduate students. More than 1,400 of its students reside on the Curry campus. The largest majors are business management, communication, nursing, criminal justice and education. The College offers a wide array of extra-curricular activities ranging from 14 NCAA Division III athletic teams to an outstanding theatre program.
