Local Student Samantha Rekuta Earns Scholarship from Accounting Firm KPMG

DETROIT, MI (03/25/2013)(readMedia)--  The University of Detroit Mercy chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma was recently recognized as a Premier Chapter, and earned a scholarship for community service from the accounting firm KPMG, which will go to Samantha Rekuta of Southgate, MI.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society recognizing the outstanding academic achievements of students enrolled in collegiate business and management programs accredited by AACSB - The International Association for Management Education.

The KPMG Foundation is a honorary organization that encourages community involvement for Financial Information students and professionals.

The University of Detroit Mercy is Michigan's largest private Catholic University, offering approximately 100 majors and programs in 60 academic fields. Sponsored by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) and the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, the University has three campuses located in downtown and northwest Detroit.
