Local resident accepted to Harding University

SEARCY, ARK. (06/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Emily Brandon of Lascassas (37085), daughter of Michael and Peggy Brandon, has been accepted to attend Harding University for the fall 2012 semester.

Brandon attended Middle Tennessee Christian School, where she was a member of Beta Club, color guard, drama productions, chorus and secretary of student council. She played on the varsity soccer team and participated in track and field. Brandon also received the Sewanee Award for Excellence in Writing in 2011.

She will be welcomed to campus on Aug. 16 for Student Impact. This orientation program is designed to help freshmen and new students learn about the campus and make the adjustment to college life.

With an enrollment of more than 7,100 students, Harding is the largest private university in Arkansas and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state.
