CANTON , OH (04/19/2013)(readMedia)-- Malone University senior art major Heidi Boyce of Butler, Pennsylvania, will display her senior portfolio exhibit, "Creation, Deconstruction, and Restoration," April 22 – 30 in the McFadden Gallery, located in the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts, located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. Art Galleries at Malone University are free and open to the public during business hours. A reception will take place Saturday, April 27 from 4 – 7 p.m.

Self-taught in articulated doll making, Boyce tries to incorporate all her studies and fields of interest to create pieces that are a mesh of 2D and 3D, combining reality and fiction as her art tends to tell stories with the use of atypical metaphors. She has also shown her works at Mola Gallery in downtown Canton, as well as in Campus-sponsored, juried exhibits.
