Local student receives three Commencement Awards at Bryant University
SMITHFIELD, RI (05/21/2013)(readMedia)-- William Brian Gowen, of Lincroft, received the following commencement awards at Bryant's 150th Commencement on Saturday, May 18:
• The Excellence in Economics award presented to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average in the major.
• The History/Social Sciences Department Awards in Global Studies for outstanding achievement in global studies.
• The Student Senate Service Award presented to six deserving graduating seniors in recognition of their outstanding service to the student body of Bryant University. The recipients are selected by the Student Senate Service Awards Committee.
Gowen was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies: Global Politics and Economics: International, summa cum laude.
