CANTON , OH (11/06/2013)(readMedia)-- College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences. The Department of Music will present a student recital Sunday, November 10 at 3:00 p.m. in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center, located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton, Ohio. The program – featuring Laura Haynam, voice; accompanied by Beverly Kalasky, piano – is free and open to the public. A program follows. Biography

Laura Haynam, soprano, is currently pursuing a bachelor of science in music education at Malone University. She is a recipient of the Malone University Transfer Student Scholarship and the Malone University Vocal Scholarship. Ms. Haynam is an active member of the Malone University Chorale under the direction Jon Peterson, D.M.A., where she serves as secretary and the soprano section leader. She is also an active member of the Malone chapter of OCMEA, where she serves as secretary. Ms. Haynam currently studies with Cynthia Wohlschlager, and has previously studied with Diane Penning and Julia Graddy. She has performed the roles of Gilda in scenes from Rigoletto, Adina in scenes from L'elisir d'amore, Beth in scenes from Little Women, and Sophie from scenes of Der Rosenkavalier in Malone University's Opera Workshop. Ms. Haynam currently resides in North Canton with her husband, Kyle.
