Lock Haven University Accepts Amy Kowalczyk Into Online Master of Education Program
LOCK HAVEN, PA (04/26/2010)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University is pleased to announce that Amy Kowalczyk has been accepted into the LHU Master of Education program in Alternative Education
The Online Master of Education: Alternative Education program at Lock Haven University makes it possible for educators to engage in reflective practice while improving their teaching and program development skills. The program encourages educators to explore methods, research, and epistemologies that focus on both the learner and systemic changes that will benefit all students. The Alternative Education Program is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation for Teacher Education, and aligned with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Lock Haven University's program is one of only eight fully accredited Alternative Education Masters programs offered in the United States and is the only program that is offered completely online. Jerry Falco, Assistant Director for Graduate Admissions at Lock Haven University notes that, "The online Master of Education programs are highly desired by working educators because they can pursue their graduate education at a schedule and pace that fits the demands of their personal lives."
Mrs. Kowalczyk is a Head Start Teacher at Cen-Clear Child Services. She is a resident of Flinton, PA. Mrs. Kowalczyk is the daughter of John and Susan Yorgy of the Altoona Area, is married to Keith Kowalczyk and has three children Joshua, Nik, and Kyrsten. Mrs. Kowalczyk earned her Bachelors Degree from Mount Aloysius College and plans to continue working in Alternative Education to assist students with mental health issues.
