LOCK HAVEN, PA (10/10/2011)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University is pleased to announce that Dan Langford has been accepted into the LHU Master of Education program in Educational Leadership.
The Online Master of Education: Educational Leadership program offered at Lock Haven University is designed to teach current and future leaders the skills that enable effective development of student motivation, student achievement, teacher professional growth, curriculum development and implementation, school improvement, human resource leadership, and the capable management of the day-to-day operations within a school. The program meets all requirements of the Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership Standards outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Jerry Falco, Assistant Director for Graduate Admissions at Lock Haven University notes that, "The shortage of highly qualified educational leaders across the United States is well documented and the problem is worsening. Lock Haven's Online Educational Leadership program enables teacher/leaders to earn the required qualifications to sit for the principal certification exam and to advance into this high need area at a schedule and pace that fits the demands of their personal lives."
Langford teaches Health and Physcial Education at Central Dauphon East High School in the Mifflineburg Area School District. A resident of Selingsgrove, PA, Langford is the son of Mike and Diane Langford who reside in York PA. Langford is a 2009 graduate of Lock Haven University, with an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education. Dan plans on earning his principal certification as a result of completing his Master's degree and taking on a leadership role in public education.
