Lock Haven University Accepts Tanya Bower Into Online Master of Liberal Arts Program
LOCK HAVEN, PA (04/27/2010)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University is pleased to announce that Tanya L. Bower has been accepted into the LHU Master of Liberal Arts program.
The Master of Liberal Arts Program at Lock Haven University is an interdisciplinary graduate program for the intellectually curious adult whose baccalaureate education is completed. The program provides a non-content specific degree affording a diverse interdisciplinary study. Its focus is on the development of intellectual skills that dispel illusion and foster the unimpeded activity of our most fully human powers of thought and action. The program will enhance a student's ability to analyze, synthesize, and appreciate a broad spectrum of knowledge drawn from a variety of disciplines. According to Jerry Falco, Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, "Students in the program describe great enjoyment of learning in a graduate liberal arts setting which enables them to explore subject matter of personal and professional interest."
The program is recognized by the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs. The program is unique in that it is designed so that it can be completed either entirely on-line, in a face-to-face fashion, or a combination of the two. The hybrid format enables our students to have a high degree of flexibility but still be fully involved and interactive with our instructors and other students.
A resident of South Williamsport, PA, Ms. Bower is the daughter of James and Jean Bower who also reside in South Williamsport, PA. Ms. Bower graduated from Juniata College in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Media Studies and a Minor in Business. Ms. Bower plans to utilze her master's degree to promote human rights in Asia upon her completion.
