POTSDAM, NY (07/24/2014)(readMedia)-- Ann Marie Lubert of Suwanee, Ga., general manager with GE Healthcare Global Services in Atlanta, Ga., has been honored with the Golden Knight Award by her alma mater, Clarkson University.

Presented each year during Reunion Weekend, Clarkson's most prestigious alumni award is given to alumni who have distinguished themselves either by service to Clarkson through Alumni Association activities or have demonstrated outstanding career achievement, bringing distinction to themselves and to Clarkson.

Lubert received her bachelor of science degree in marketing and communications from Clarkson University in 1989. She was a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and played volleyball and lacrosse for Clarkson. She received her master of business administration degree from Plymouth State University in 1991.

Lubert began her career with General Electric in 1989, as a member of their Distribution Sales Program. In her early days with GE, she was a part of the Clarkson recruiting and interviewing team for various programs and positions throughout the Northeast. Several moves around the country and promotions within various GE businesses led her to her current general manager role with GE Healthcare Global Services.

In 2012, Lubert was asked to take on additional responsibility as the corporate recruiting leader for all of General Electric at Clarkson. She has worked at numerous career fairs, conducting in-person resume work-shops and also contributed to various student panels and has written articles for parents of current Clarkson students.

In addition, Lubert guided GE to be the sponsor for the newly formed Intercultural Ambassador Program, launched in 2013. As a corporate sponsor, Lubert has mobilized the various resources within GE to help students address obstacles they face today as a student and also hear the challenges and potential solutions from current GE employees – leveraging GE's affinity network members and presentations.

In addition to her on-campus activities, Lubert is active in the Atlanta Alumni Chapter. She has assisted in various events, including baseball outings and Clarkson Serves projects.

Lubert is also very dedicated to her community. A believer in a person's ability to achieve with support and guidance, Lubert has been a member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters in the various cities she has lived over the past 25 years. She has served on the board for the American Red Cross S. Milwaukee Chapter as well as Westie Rescue of Greater Washington. In addition, as a member of the Delta Society Pet Partners Organization, Lubert and her dog Abby spent hours at various senior centers and hospice centers providing pet therapy to residents in the facilities.

Lubert resides in the Suwanee area with her sons, Elijah and Jacob.
