Lucia Possehl Wins UVM Geography Award
Lucia Possehl, a geography major with minors in history and environmental studies, received the Glen Elder Award this semester at the University of Vermont.
Glen Elder was a beloved geography professor, department chair, and associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences who died suddenly in 2009. The Glen Elder Award is made every year to a top geography senior whose work on issues of social justice, sexuality, South Africa, or political geography has embodied the spirit of Elder's commitment and interests.
