Luther junior Delzer to present mezzo-soprano recital

DECORAH, IA (02/19/2013)(readMedia)-- Hannah Delzer, a Luther College junior from Janesville, Wis., will perform a mezzo-soprano voice recital at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall on the Luther campus.
Delzer, the daughter of Brent and Amy Delzer of Janesville, is majoring in elementary education and music at Luther. She is a 2010 graduate of Edgerton High School.
Delzer will perform works by Reynaldo Hahn, George Frideric Handel, Mozart and Henry Purcell.
A reception will follow the performance. Both the recital and reception are open to the public with no charge for admission.
Delzer is a student of Jacob Lassetter, Luther assistant professor of music. She will be accompanied by Luther junior Bobby Ragoonanan, piano. Her recital partner is Kelsi Holmes, Luther senior.
Luther is home to one of the largest collegiate music programs in the nation with six choirs, three orchestras, three bands, two jazz bands and nearly 1,000 student musicians.
Luther students participate in large ensembles, faculty-coached chamber groups, private lessons and master classes. More than 350 music majors study music theory, ear training, history, education, composition, church music and performance.
