Luther senior Danielson to perform soprano voice recital

DECORAH, IA (10/29/2012)(readMedia)-- Caley Danielson, a Luther College senior from Duluth, Minn. will perform a soprano voice recital at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall on the Luther campus.

Danielson, daughter of Jeff and Cathleen Danielson of Duluth, is majoring in music and pursuing an education minor. She is a 2009 graduate of Duluth East High School.

Danielson will perform works by Vincenzo Bellini, Aaron Copland, Reynaldo Hahn and Franz Schubert.

A reception will follow the performance in the Noble Recital Hall lobby. Both the recital and reception are open to the public with no charge for admission.

Danielson is a student of Rachel Ware, Luther adjunct faculty in music, and will be accompanied by Luther senior Stephen Dahle.

Luther is home to one of the largest collegiate music programs in the nation with six choirs, three orchestras, three bands, two jazz bands and nearly 1,000 student musicians.

Luther students participate in large ensembles, faculty-coached chamber groups, private lessons and master classes. More than 350 music majors study music theory, ear training, history, education, composition, church music and performance.
