Luther senior Gauslow to present soprano recital

DECORAH, IA (03/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Ariel Gauslow, a Luther College senior from Fargo, N.D., will perform a soprano recital at noon Sunday, March 17, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music on the Luther campus.
Gauslow, the daughter of Mark Gauslow of Colfax, N.D. and Kent and Sonja Casperson of Maple Grove, Minn., is majoring in music at Luther. She is a 2009 graduate of Oak Grove Lutheran High School.
Gauslow will perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Vincenzo Bellini, Leo Delibes and Roger Quilter.
A reception will follow the performance. Both the recital and reception are open to the public with no charge for admission.
Gauslow is a student of Rachel Ware, Luther adjunct faculty in music. She will be accompanied by Luther senior Jenna Dosch.
Luther is home to one of the largest collegiate music programs in the nation with six choirs, three orchestras, three bands, two jazz bands and nearly 1,000 student musicians.
Luther students participate in large ensembles, faculty-coached chamber groups, private lessons and master classes. More than 350 music majors study music theory, ear training, history, education, composition, church music and performance.
