Luther senior Sophia Brown to be featured in All-Senior Art Exhibit May 7-19 at Luther College
DECORAH, IA (05/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Sophia Brown of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, will have her work on display May 7-19 in the Kristen Wigley-Fleming Gallery in the Center for the Arts building on the Luther College campus.
A reception will be held for the artists just outside of the exhibit in the Center for the Arts at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18. The reception is open to the public with no charge for admission.
Brown, the daughter of Tom and Tammi Brown and Brooke Laurie, is majoring in art management at Luther. She is a 2009 graduate of Southeast Polk High School.
The annual exhibit is held to give students graduating with an art major the opportunity to present a sample of their entire senior project one final time while in college. The exhibit features a variety of works including painting, sculpture, photography, collage, video and mixed-media installation pieces.
The student exhibitors include Maseeh Ahmed, Kurt Bearinger, Ingrid Cologne, Eric Hild, Katelyn Kluge, Robby Scott, Emily Temte, Emily Voss and Rose Weselmann.
