Madison Dominick Named Second Team All-MIAA

Madison Dominick of the Trine University women's volleyball team has earned Second Team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honors following a breakout season. It is her first career all-conference award.

Dominick, a junior outside hitter from Swartz Creek, Michigan, had 2.68 kills per set during the MIAA season, good for ninth in the league. In total, Dominick secured 75 kills in her eight matches and 28 sets played as well as 15 blocks (one solo).

In the MIAA opener versus Adrian College, Dominick secured a new career-high with 17 kills. This closed a run of four consecutive matches with double-digit kill numbers. She would go on a similar scoring spree in the final stretch of the 2023 season with 15 kills and 11 kills in the regular season finale matches against Alma College and The University of Olivet as well as 10 more in the MIAA Tournament First Round contest at Adrian.

Throughout the season, Dominick led a balanced Thunder offense with 189 kills (2.36 kills per set). She hit .191 with 66 digs, 53 blocks (four solo), eight assists and two aces. She had one double-double this season against Grove City College. Dominick threw down 14 kills and dug out 12 opposing attacks.
