Magician and Comedian John Cassidy to Perform Aug. 29 for Lebanon Valley College's Friday Night Comedy Series

ANNVILLE, PA (08/08/2014)(readMedia)-- Magician and comedian John Cassidy will continue this semester's Friday Night Comedy Series at Lebanon Valley College on Friday, August 29 at 9 p.m. in LVC's Leedy Theater. The show is free and open to the public.

Cassidy has made several appearances on television as a stand-up comedian, magician, and balloon sculptor. He has performed at the White House, Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA, and the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. He has been a guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Martha Stewart Living, The Weakest Link, NBC's Today Show, and more.

Cassidy's successes as a comedian have landed him features in numerous periodicals, including National Geographic Kid's Magazine, Time, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. In addition to these accomplishments, Cassidy holds the Guinness World RecordsĀ® for Most Balloons Sculptured in One Hour and Most Balloons Sculptured in One Minute.

The Friday Night Comedy Series at Lebanon Valley College is sponsored by the Student Programming Board and includes performances by comedian Landry on Sept. 5, comedian Michael Kent on Sept. 12, comedian Jay Black on Sept. 19, comedian Jonathan Burns on Sept. 26, comedy improv Mission Improvable on Oct. 10, comedian Francisco Ramos on Nov. 7, ventriloquist Megan Piphus on Nov. 21, and an End of the Year Bash with a performer to be announced later this fall.
