GRANVILLE, OH (04/16/2012)(readMedia)-- Mallory Hinz '14 of Birmingham, Mich. (48009), has been named the Morrow Pre-Law Scholar at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. The distinguished scholarship is named for, and provided through the generosity of, Denison alumnae Clark and Irma Morrow. It is intended to honor and support Denison undergraduates who, after graduation, plan to attend a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
The Department of Political Science considers class standing, inclusion on the Dean's List, evidence of high ethical standing, membership in honorary societies, leadership in campus organizations, contributions to community organizations, and participation in the administration of justice at any level of government and at Denison when awarding the Morrow recognition.
Hinz is a religion and political science double major and is enrolled in Denison's Richard G. Lugar Program in Politics and Public Service. She is a member of the national political science honor society, Pi Sigma Alpha, and is captain of Denison's nationally ranked Moot Court Team. She serves on the Honor Board as a representative of Delta Gamma Sorority where she also is director of new members, works as a tour guide for Denison's Office of Admissions, and is involved in Christian programs Younglife and Wyldlife on campus and as a leader of middle school students in the Granville area.
