ALBANY, N.Y. (05/05/2011)(readMedia)-- Margaret Allen of Albany, a student at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y., was one of eight Saint Rose students to present research at the 25th National Conference on Undergraduate Research, held recently at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y.
The eight from Saint Rose were among about 3,000 students representing colleges and universities nationwide.
Allen, a junior majoring in childhood education, presented "Rousseau, Dewey, Noddings."
Established in 1987, the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. Unlike meetings of academic professional organizations, this gathering of young scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all corners of the academic curriculum. NCUR creates a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement, provides models of exemplary research and scholarship, and helps to improve the state of undergraduate education.
