Marie Claire Charles of Quanaminthe, Haiti Receives Landis Family International Scholarship
MILLERSVILLE, PA (07/19/2011)(readMedia)-- Marie Claire Charles, of Quanaminthe, Haiti has been selected to receive the Landis Family International Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman at Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
Charles will attend Millersville this fall and will major in business management. She previously attended Harrisburg Area Community College. Charles is sponsored in the United States by the Lower Susquehanna Synod of the Lutheran Church and her specific sponsors are missionary members of Ascension Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church. Charles' sponsors are helping fund her education so she can achieve her goals.
The Landis Family International Scholarship is awarded to an international, first year college student or transfer student, using a student/F-1 visa for full-time study. The student must have strong academic record, be proficient in English and have demonstrated financial need. The scholarship is non-renewable in the amount of $1,419.
