EWING, NJ (02/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Marilyn Stebbins of Princeton Junction was awarded The College of New Jersey Alumni Association's Humanitarian Award on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the annual Alumni Leadership Awards.

The Humanitarian Award recognizes an alumnus/a who has shown exceptional public-spiritedness or concern for human welfare through philanthropic activities. Marilyn Stebbins, this year's winner of the Humanitarian Award, was a teacher in Monroe Township for more than 25 years. Her community-spiritedness and activism extends far beyond the classroom. Stebbins has served as a local community collector for the Heart Foundation and the Cancer Foundation, as a volunteer for the auxiliary fire departments of West Windsor and Slackwood, and as an elder at Slackwood Presbyterian Church.
