Marissa Poudrier of Owings Awarded Jim and Linda Bodycomb Endowed Scholarship

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (11/19/2013)(readMedia)-- Marissa Poudrier, an Owings, Md., native and first-year student at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the Jim and Linda Bodycomb Endowed Scholarship. The endowed scholarship was established in 2002 by the Bodycombs to benefit high achievers.

Poudrier is an English major at St. Mary's College who aspires to work for an advertising company with a focus on book sales and displays. Poudrier is involved in the Point News school newspaper and enjoys graphic design and art.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
