Marita MacKinnon Stage Manager for Curry College's New Plays Festival

MILTON , MA (02/25/2011)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Quincy resident Marita MacKinnon, daughter of George and Mary MacKinnon, will be the stage manager, in Curry alumna Cate Buckley's original comedy Sex and Education in Curry Theatre's Black Box production of The Fifth Annual New Plays Festival. Marita is a 2008 graduate of Quincy High School. Currently a junior at the college majoring in Communication, Marita has been seen in Cynthia Mercati's To See the Stars, David Robinson's Justice Man, and Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. Marita has also served on Curry Theatre's Supervisory Board as the House Manager and Publicity Director. She currently holds the position of Costumes Manager.

The Fifth Annual New Plays Festival, showcasing original student 5-10 minute one act plays, will run Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7 at 7:30 pm in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $5 and may be reserved at 617 333 2259 (Option 2).

Curry College is a 131-year old, private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA.
