Marymount's Chris Tipton Ties Career Assist Mark

ARLINGTON, VA (10/23/2009)(readMedia)-- With his assist on the Saints' lone goal against Mary Washington on October 21, senior Chris Tipton tied for the lead for career assists in men's soccer at Marymount with 15. He joins Justin Kessler, '05, at the head of the career leaders.

Tipton's assist against the Eagles was his seventh of the season, nearly doubling his total (eight) of the three previous years that he has played. He currently is tied for the lead in the Capital Athletic Conference for assists.

Tipton, a former player for Meade (Maryland) High School, is a criminal justice major at Marymount. He is team captain this year also.

The Saints have one regular season game left on October 27 against Randolph-Macon and then at least a first round tournament game in the Capital Athletic Conference on October 31. They stand at 7-8-1 overall in the season.
