Massachusetts Air National Guard Fighters Exercise Over North Country on Monday

FORT DRUM, NY (09/25/2011)(readMedia)-- Two F-15D fighters from the Massachusetts Air National Guard will be conducting exercises over Lewis, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties Monday morning, Sept. 25.

The aircraft, from the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, Massachusetts, will operate in the Viper Military Operating Area over the towns of Carthage, Lowville, Canton, Potsdam, Croghan, Harrisville, Castorland, Natural Bridge, Hermon, and Crary Mills.

They will be conducting intercept training to prepare for an upcoming Alert Force Evaluation conducted by the Air Force.

The jets may operate at low altitudes during some of their training
