Matt Sydnor Elected Secretary/Treasurer of Interfraternity Council at H-SC

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (05/07/2013)(readMedia)-- Matthew Robert Sydnor was recently elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Hampden-Sydney College. The IFC is the governing board of the Greek-letter social fraternities which have existed at the College for over 150 years.
A junior majoring in history and English, Matt is a member of the social fraternity Kappa Alpha, the Pre-Business Society, and the Society for Southern Heritage. Matt is a graduate of James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg and is the son of Lizbeth Sydnor of Charlottesville.
A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
