McCain Victorious, Democrat Confusion Continues
Mondello Statement
ALBANY, NY (03/05/2008)(readMedia)-- With yesterday’s primary victories and today’s endorsement by President Bush and the national party, Senator John McCain officially solidifies his place as our Republican candidate and continues his exciting Presidential run with increasing momentum.
Senator McCain’s leadership, patriotism and experience resonated as clearly with voters in yesterday’s primaries as it did with New Yorkers and people across the country. His unwavering commitment to winning the war on terror, stimulating the economy, limiting government spending and ensuring that our families are safe from dangers at home and abroad make him the ideal person to lead our nation during troubled times.
While Senator McCain continues to receive growing support for his positive vision of a better, brighter future for America, the Democrats are continuing their bitter, divisive primary battle. Senators Clinton and Obama seem focused on a battle over who can spend more, increase taxes the most and increase the size and scope of government most quickly.
This isn’t what New York or America needs, and people are seeing the very real differences between the two parties. John McCain is more experienced, can provide stronger leadership and is ready to bring about the positive changes that American families need from his first day in office.
