McDaniel College Student Chamber Music Ensembles Perform Thursday, November 15

WESTMINSTER, MD (11/05/2012)(readMedia)-- McDaniel College senior Veronica Lathroum of Linthicum Heights, Md., performs in the college's Student Chamber Music Ensembles on Thursday, November 15, 7 p.m., in Baker Chapel at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Md. The performance is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Linda Kirkpatrick, senior lecturer in music, students in McDaniel's Flute Choir, Flute Quartet, and Woodwind Ensemble perform.

The Woodwind Ensemble performs "The Entertainer," written by Scott Joplin and arranged by David Kelley, "La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin," written by Claude Debussy and also arranged by David Kelley, and "Harmony Music One" by Edward Elgar.

The Flute Quartet performs J.S. Bach's "Gavotte & Gigue" arranged by Laura Walter Roth and "Nuances" by Anne McGinty, among others.

The 12-member Flute Choir made up of McDaniel students and community musicians concludes the performance with William Byrd's "Earl of Oxford March" and movements from P.I. Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite."
