McDaniel College Students Perform in Westminster Symphony Orchestra Concert

The Westminster Symphony Orchestra performs at McDaniel College on Saturday, December 7, 3 p.m. The performance, which is free and open to the public, takes place in WMC Alumni Hall at 2 College Hill, Westminster, Md. Under the direction of Linda Kirkpatrick, senior lecturer in music, the Westminster Symphony Orchestra is composed of McDaniel students, as well as community musicians. The concert features Haydn's Symphony No. 104 "London" and Elgar's "Serenade for Strings." Another highlight is Vivaldi's "Winter Concerto." According to Kirkpatrick, "Vivaldi's 'Winter Concerto' is rarely played since the aEUR~Spring Concerto' is his most popular of the aEUR~Four Seasons.'
