McElligot Named First Team All-Conference

BATAVIA, NY (05/23/2012)(readMedia)-- Jordan McElligot, a resident of Spencerport, NY (14559) was one of eight members of the Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team named to the Western New York Athletic Conference All-Conference Team. He was named to the All-Conference First Team.
McElligot recorded the fourth highest total for ground balls on the team in his freshman season with 44. He also tied for the fourth most takeaways on the team with 18. He was previously honored as an All-Region First Team selection.
The Cougars finished the season with a 15-4 overall record and were Western New York Athletic Conference Champions. They advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament for the second straight season and were also in the Final Four of the Region III Tournament.
Genesee Community College athletics program endeavors to provide a quality and competitive intercollegiate athletics program consistent with the National Junior Collegiate Athletics Association (NJCAA) philosophy and the overall educational mission of Genesee Community College.
