BATAVIA, NY (05/20/2013)(readMedia)-- Jordan McElligott, a resident of Spencerport, NY (14559) was one of eight members of the Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team named to the Western New York Athletic Conference All-Conference Team for the 2013 season. He was named to the All-Conference First Team.

McElligott, also named to the All-Region First Team this season, was second on the team in ground balls this year with 69. He also scored a goal and had an assist and helped anchor a defense that allowed just 6.64 goals per game.

Genesee finished the season 15-3 overall and held the No. 2 ranking in the NJCAA National Poll. They were Western New York Athletic Conference champions, Region III Western Conference champions and advanced to the NJCAA National Final Four for the third consecutive year.

Genesee Community College athletics program endeavors to provide a quality and competitive intercollegiate athletics program consistent with the National Junior Collegiate Athletics Association (NJCAA) philosophy and the overall educational mission of Genesee Community College. Participation in collegiate athletics should be an extension of the total educational experience for the student athlete.
